Song: Wish
Artist: Alien Ant Farm
Album: ANThology (It's also in the game Tony Hawk Pro Skater 3, so if you've
ever played that game you've probably heard the song too)

This is in standard 5—string tuning. If you don't have a 5—string then you can
either do a lot of detuning, or bump the low end notes up an octave. If you have
an octave down effect petal it could work out nicely. If not, no big deal, I
doubt many people would even notice. Like always, just figure out the rhythm of
everything and all will be well. Enjoy!
This was rather hard to tab out, since so much of it is really low and you can't
always tell exactly what is played. So there are probably other slightly different
ways of playing this, I have just found this one to sound the most accurate. If
you have any suggestions to what sounds better, by all means tell them to me! I
appriciate all help that people provide. Thanks! :—D

Wow, tabbing that out was not very easy. If you have corrections, please send
them to me! You can send all other comments, requests, hate mail, or whatever
you feel like telling me to [email protected]
Please realize that if you request a song for me to tab out that the odds of me
tabbing it are not so high, consittering it takes a good deal of time. But feel
free to ask anyway! I'll still try my best.
CHECK OUT MY OTHER TABS!
Alien Ant Farm is an American alternative rock band that formed in the southern California city of Riverside in 1995. Their name comes from an idea original guitarist Terry Corso had about aliens and the earth--"I was daydreaming at my dull desk job with my feet up, and I thought to myself, 'Wouldn't it be cool if the human species were placed on earth and cultivated by alien intelligence?' Maybe the aliens added us to an atmosphere that was suitable for us, and they've been watching us develop and colonize, kind of like what a kid does with an ant farm."[citation needed]
Bass tablature (tabs) is an easy way to learn songs without needing to read traditional sheet music. Here’s a quick guide to understanding the symbols and techniques commonly found in tabs:
Each line in a tab represents a string on your bass:
Numbers on the lines indicate which fret to press. For example:
G|-------------------| D|-------------------| A|---3---------------| E|-------------------|
This means you play the 3rd fret on the A string.
Play the first note by picking it, then press down on a higher fret with another finger without picking again.
G|-------------------| D|-------5h7---------|
Pluck a note and then "pull off" your finger to let a lower fret ring.
G|-------------------| D|-------7p5---------|
Move your finger up (/) or down (\) the fretboard while maintaining pressure.
G|-------------------| D|-------5/7---------|
G|-------7b9---------|
G|-------7~----------|
Tabs don’t always indicate timing, so listen to the song while reading the tab. Wider spaces between numbers mean longer pauses, while closer numbers indicate quicker notes.
Tabs are a great tool to learn songs, but mastering the techniques takes practice. Listen carefully to the original track and play along to lock in the rhythm. Don’t rush — smooth, accurate playing is more important than speed. Happy jamming! 🎸
