This is a way of getting to know where your frets are without having to stare
at the board! (worked for me anyways)
I have a 5 string so this is a 5 string version
This can be done in any tuning that takes your fancy

|—1—11—2—11—3—11—4—11—5—11—6—11—7—11—8—11—9—11—10—11

|—1—10—2—10—3—10—5—10—6—10—7—10—8—10—9—10
and so on.... this should get you used to moving to any fret from any fret....
repeat on all strings.... and soon you shall be staring at somwhere else
other than the fretboard :)
