This is a Tab that is 99% correct. Some parts may be confusing but for
bass this is a really simple song. The amp should be set for no Treble or
Mid with Bass all the way up. Normal Tuning. Here goes
Mouth
by Bush
Tabbbed by Sean Jones
Intro and main riff of the song. (You play this part unless otherwise noted)
G|—————————————————————————————||
D|*———————————————————————————*||
A|*———————————————————————————*||
E|————0———3————2———————————————||
During the parts when Gavin Sings this,
"You have.....Soul Machine"
G|————————————————————————————|
D|————————————————————————————|
A|————————————————————————————|
E|—————————000—33—————2———————|
Play that.
There are three bass solos that I hear at 1:14, 2:17, and 4:08. If there
are more it will probably be the same riff
G|————————————————————————————|
D|————————————————————————————|
A|——9—7——9—7——9—10—12—9———————|
E|————————————————————————————|
Chorus: (All your mental...)
G|————————————————————————————|
D|————————————————————————————|
A|————————————————————————————|
E|——0—0————3—3—2—2———5—55—————|
And last but no least the bridge
"We've been missing long before..."
G|————————————————————————————||
D|———————————————————————————*||
A|———22222222————————————————*||
E|————————————33333333————————||
Song Pattern goes
Intro/Verse 1
"Soul Machiene" riff
Verse 2
Solo
Riff again
Chorus
Verse 3
Second solo
Riff (yes Again)
Chorus
Bridge
Chorus
I belive that is correct. The only part I'm not sure about is the song
order. As of right now I'm too lazy to walk back up the stairs to listen
to the cd again and figure it out. Just listen to the song and you'll
figure it out. Happy Plucking.

Bass tablature (tabs) is an easy way to learn songs without needing to read traditional sheet music. Here’s a quick guide to understanding the symbols and techniques commonly found in tabs:
Each line in a tab represents a string on your bass:
Numbers on the lines indicate which fret to press. For example:
G|-------------------| D|-------------------| A|---3---------------| E|-------------------|
This means you play the 3rd fret on the A string.
Play the first note by picking it, then press down on a higher fret with another finger without picking again.
G|-------------------| D|-------5h7---------|
Pluck a note and then "pull off" your finger to let a lower fret ring.
G|-------------------| D|-------7p5---------|
Move your finger up (/) or down (\) the fretboard while maintaining pressure.
G|-------------------| D|-------5/7---------|
G|-------7b9---------|
G|-------7~----------|
Tabs don’t always indicate timing, so listen to the song while reading the tab. Wider spaces between numbers mean longer pauses, while closer numbers indicate quicker notes.
Tabs are a great tool to learn songs, but mastering the techniques takes practice. Listen carefully to the original track and play along to lock in the rhythm. Don’t rush — smooth, accurate playing is more important than speed. Happy jamming! 🎸
