E|————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————|
The last one, just keep the 5 going (as in replace the 9 and 7 with 5's
on the A string), and it'll come into this part, the pre—verse, i'd call
it.
G|————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————|

E|——5——5—5—5—5—5—5—5—2——2—2—2—2—2—2———————————————————————————————————————————|
Repeat as needed
Pre—Chorus Hook Bridge Dealy (I believe the lyrics start with "Dark
secrets..." or something like that)
G|———————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————|
D|——4—————4—————4—————5—————5—————5—————7—————7—————7—————9—————9—————9——————————|
A|——————4—————4———————————5—————5————————————7—————7———————————9—————9———————————|
E|———————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————|
Repeat once, then come in with this
G|———————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————|
D|———5——5—5——5—5—5———————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————|
A|————————————————————5——5—5——5—5—5——————————————————————————————————————————————|
E|———————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————|
then come in with the pre—verse and do all that again. Then when you get
back here, do the chorus riff.
Then, after that, do the pre—verse, and the verse, but you skip the
pre—chorus hook bridge dealy, and go straight into the chorus, but do
the first part all four times. Then when the guitar comes in, keep up
the chorus part, but this time, use the 4th time part all the way
through. Does that make sense? Just go back to the beginning of this
tab, and do the first line 4 times, then the second line 4 times. And
that's the last chorus.
Ending
G|————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————|
D|———————————7————————————————————————————————————————————————|
A|——5——5—5————————————————————————————————————————————————————|
E|————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————|
And that's the end of that. This has to be one of my favorite songs.

Lagwagon is an American punk rock band originally from Goleta, just outside Santa Barbara, California. Their name comes from the band's old tour van, which can been seen on the back cover of the album Trashed. The band has 10 releases through Fat Wreck Chords: seven studio albums, one EP, one live album and a collection of B-sides, compilation tracks and demos.
Bass tablature (tabs) is an easy way to learn songs without needing to read traditional sheet music. Here’s a quick guide to understanding the symbols and techniques commonly found in tabs:
Each line in a tab represents a string on your bass:
Numbers on the lines indicate which fret to press. For example:
G|-------------------| D|-------------------| A|---3---------------| E|-------------------|
This means you play the 3rd fret on the A string.
Play the first note by picking it, then press down on a higher fret with another finger without picking again.
G|-------------------| D|-------5h7---------|
Pluck a note and then "pull off" your finger to let a lower fret ring.
G|-------------------| D|-------7p5---------|
Move your finger up (/) or down (\) the fretboard while maintaining pressure.
G|-------------------| D|-------5/7---------|
G|-------7b9---------|
G|-------7~----------|
Tabs don’t always indicate timing, so listen to the song while reading the tab. Wider spaces between numbers mean longer pauses, while closer numbers indicate quicker notes.
Tabs are a great tool to learn songs, but mastering the techniques takes practice. Listen carefully to the original track and play along to lock in the rhythm. Don’t rush — smooth, accurate playing is more important than speed. Happy jamming! 🎸
