Lyrics:
(We are doing it) Intro
I look around me
But all I seem to see
Its people going nowhere
Expecting sympathy
Its like were going through the emotions Verse
Of the scripted destiny
Tell me wheres our inspiration
If life wont wait
I guess its up to me
Whoahh
No were not gonna waste another moment in this town
Whoahh
We wont come back, the world its coming out
Whoahh Chorus
Leave the past in the past gonna find the future
And misery loves company
Well so long
Youll miss me when Im gone
Youre gonna miss me when Im gone Post—Chorus
Procrastination running circles in my head
While you sit there contemplating youll wind up left for dead
(left for dead)
Life its what happens Verse
While youre busy making your excuses
Another day, another casualty
But that wont happen to me
Whoahh
No were not gonna waste another moment in this town
Whoahh
We wont come back, the world its coming out
Whoahh Chorus
Leave the past in the past gonna find the future
And misery loves company
Well so long
Youll miss me when Im gone
Youre gonna miss me when Im gone Post—Chorus
Youre gonna miss me when Im goooone
When Im gooone
Lets go!
Wont look back
When I say goodbye
Were gonna leave this hole behind me
Gonna take whats mine tonight Bridge
cause every wasted day
Because of wasted chance
Youre gonna wake up feeling sorry
cause life wont wait
I guess its up to you
Whoahh
No were not gonna waste another moment in this town
Whoahh
We wont come back, the world its coming out
Whoahh Chorus
Leave the past in the past gonna find the future
And misery loves company
Well so long
Youll miss me when Im gone
Youre gonna miss me when Im gone
Youre gonna miss me when Im gone Post—Chorus
Youre gonna miss me when Im gone
Youre gonna miss me when Im gone

Simple Plan is a French-Canadian pop punk band, based in Montreal. The band has had no line up changes since its inception in 1999. Members are Pierre Bouvier (lead vocals), Jeff Stinco (lead guitar), Sebastien Lefebvre (rhythm guitar, backing vocals), David Desrosiers (bass, backing vocals) and Chuck Comeau (drums and percussion). They have released three studio albums: No Pads, No Helmets...Just Balls (2002), Still Not Getting Any... (2004), and Simple Plan (2008); as well as two widely marketed live albums: Live in Japan 2002 (2003) and MTV Hard Rock Live (2005).
Bass tablature (tabs) is an easy way to learn songs without needing to read traditional sheet music. Here’s a quick guide to understanding the symbols and techniques commonly found in tabs:
Each line in a tab represents a string on your bass:
Numbers on the lines indicate which fret to press. For example:
G|-------------------|
D|-------------------|
A|---3---------------|
E|-------------------|
This means you play the 3rd fret on the A string.
Play the first note by picking it, then press down on a higher fret with another finger without picking again.
G|-------------------|
D|-------5h7---------|
Pluck a note and then "pull off" your finger to let a lower fret ring.
G|-------------------|
D|-------7p5---------|
Move your finger up (/) or down (\) the fretboard while maintaining pressure.
G|-------------------|
D|-------5/7---------|
G|-------7b9---------|
G|-------7~----------|
Tabs don’t always indicate timing, so listen to the song while reading the tab. Wider spaces between numbers mean longer pauses, while closer numbers indicate quicker notes.
Tabs are a great tool to learn songs, but mastering the techniques takes practice. Listen carefully to the original track and play along to lock in the rhythm. Don’t rush — smooth, accurate playing is more important than speed. Happy jamming! 🎸
