What types of music are you wanting to play drizzt?
I like rock jazz earning at the moment nirvana songs love dive, aneurysm, come as you are, heart shaped box teen spirit just thought id tell you my age lol 58 just started to learn bass after new year could play a little guitar I feel that had helped to start with but Bass Rocks, these songs have learned since new year can play them okish
You picked a good band to start with. The most difficult Nirvana stuff is intermediate-level at best, IMO, but still fun to play, and covers a wide range of basic techniques well-suited for those just starting out. You might also want to try stuff by The Cranberries, U2, and Creedence Clearwater Revival to name a quick few. These bands tend to keep the bass simple, which means they're great for learning the fundamentals.
