so iv'e been looking around for what bass to get next, i currently play an Ibanez, so i have narrowed it down to a Fender P Bass or a Jackson Kelly Bird Bass, i would like anyone's opinion who has played both or one…

I've played the Precision Bass, who hasnt? They do exactly what it says on the tin, but I prefer Leo Fenders updated version, the MusicMan Stingray

Why don't you choose which one YOU like? Personally I'd say the Jackson because I am tremendously anti-Fender and haven't ever played a good one, but have played a few real good Jacksons. I have had 2, yes TWO, MIM precision basses and both of them sounded like a damn rubber band for what I play. So again, just choose whatever you think sounds good

I once played a Gibson Thunderbird and it was like something off The Flintstones

If all you're playing is thrash with 6th notes at 400 beats a minute it doesn't matter what you play.

Every time I'd play the intro to Jesus Saves by Slayer it literally sounded like I was playing a rubber band. It does matter, would you like to play a rubber band, sir?

Gibsons are too damn expensive. I'd take a $1,0000 Korean made LTD guitar over some 5,000 dollar Les Paul that sounds like a 600 dollar Epi. Plus the Epi Thunderbird has the coolest color, alpine white.

So why is White the coolest colour, cos that dingbat out of Manson plays one?
