I'm pretty sure he was American and I am sure that he died in Florida.

I figured that if I ramble off a few it will balance out the Bieber factor.
He was beaten to death by a nightclub bouncer though, I'm not a fan of his stuff but that's a bit extreme
Ya, he was suffering from severe depression and he would have these wild mood swings. If I recall correctly he was diagnosed Bi Polar.
What that bouncer did to him that night was barbaric. He did not die immediately from the beating - he was in coma for a bit and they thought he would survive and awake, they were wrong.
It's pretty cool that you and IamMark know who he is.
Why wouldn't we? He was fretless Jazz bassist from Weather Report but his lines were a bit too weird for my liking
I just didn't think many knew who he was.
