I think my first cover was Let There Be Rock by AC/DC. Then Somebody Put Something in My Drink by the Ramones followed.
My first song was My Friend Of Misery - Metallica which is pretty easy. Dawn Patrol by Megadeth is very repetitive but takes some skill. Lord Of This World and N.I.B by Black Sabbath are also a few easy songs.
“Don't stop believing” by Journey is a fun and easy bassline.
“Cheap Sunglasses” is great and easy
“Day Tripper” is good to advance to; same with “Substitute”.
Oh, and anything by the Ramones is golden (imho).
