Leveling the frets of my G&L L-2000
After almost seven years of hard fretting with lots of hammer-ons, some frets were severely dented. I decided to go my own way with a modified file…
You are a braver man than me, Jay! That was really interesting, and well done. I would never trust myself to do it as cleanly as you did, at least with a bass that I like!

There's one condition, however: The fretboard has to be straight and free of bumps. Beforehand I measured the height of all frets. The differences were less than 0.05 mm. Now I can't find any measurable difference anymore. The bass now plays like butter. I like low frets anyway.
