Are tabs graded in terms of hardness?

I am new to this site, and an absolute beginner on guitar, but fancy using this site to practice new skills.
I've found an easy tab sheet (i.e. Walking on the Moon by The Police), but wondered if there was an easy way to identify the easiest songs for an absolute beginner to have a go at.
Can anyone help?
Hello Slowhand,
Walking on the Moon is a good starting tune. I've just been playing about a year and a half and the very first song I learned was Ben E. King's Stand By Me. It's simple, 8 bars, very recognizable and a classic. A good Police tune is Hungry for You. It's simple, but has a great rhythm. Tainted Love by Soft Cell, John Newman's Love Me Again, Queen's Another Bites The Dust, Wall of Voodoo's Mexican Radio, the Kink's All Day and All of the Night, Tyler and Away, 2 great tunes by the Toadies, Neil Young's Heart of Gold and Cinnamon Girl. These are a few songs that are pretty easy, recognizable and fun to play. The second song I learned was U2's Electrical Storm. Once you are getting along and have a few songs under your belt, Radar Love by Golden Earring is a good one, with a fantastic intro. There's a YouTube channel called Become a Bassist put on by a guy named Luke that's also very helpful. The best to you on your musical journey.

Not trying to pimp my own tabs, but taking a quick skim down my list of tabs looking for stuff that's super-easy to play:

Coldplay - Yellow
Aerosmith - Angel
AC/DC - Who Made Who
Bad Religion - 21st Century Digital Boy
Cake - Never There
Concrete Blonde - Joey
Def Leppard - Hysteria
Foo Fighters - Learn to Fly
Golden Earring - Twilight Zone
Great White - Once Bitten, Twice Shy
INXS - Never Tear Us Apart
Lita Ford - Close My Eyes Forever
Phil Collins - In the Air Tonight
Rob Zombie - Living Dead Girl
School of Fish - 3 Strange Days
Smashing Pumpkins - 1979
Styx - Babe
Sugar - Helpless
The Rentals - Friends of P
ZZ Top - La Grange
LoudLon,
Let me take a moment to thank you for the numerous, amazing tabs you've created and posted. I was thrilled to find Mother Love Bone's Crown of Thorns. Bone China and Stargazer would be great to tab. Andrew Wood had a band, Malfunkshun, as a teen and I'm obsessed with a song Luxury Bed ( The Rocketship Chair ) from their Return to Olympus CD. The piano line in it would be a wicked bass line tab. Keep up your excellent work.

Will do.
Here are some popular songs that are often recommended for beginners:
**"Knockin' on Heaven's Door“ by Bob Dylan.
** ”Horse with No Name“ - America (chords: Em, D6add9, Dmaj7, D6, Em7)
** ”Wonderwall“ by Oasis (chords: Em, G, D, A)
** ”Three Little Birds“ by Bob Marley (chords: A, D, E)
** ”Horse to the Water“ - George Harrison (chords: C, G, Am, F)
** ”Good Riddance (Time of Your Life)“ - Green Day (chords: G, Cadd9, D, Em)
** ”Achy Breaky Heart" - Billy Ray Cyrus (chords: A, E, D)
Remember, starting with slow and simple songs will make it easier for you to learn. Practice transitions between chords, try to keep the rhythm, and gradually you will become more confident in playing the guitar. Good luck on your musical journey!
