Mex P Bass Disappointment
Hi, i had to pop back and ask the question. I recently bought a 2012 Mexican P Bass and ive come to the conclusion that its not very well built, i mean its all over the place, ive had better Squiers, my OLP StingRay totally outclasses it. Anyone else have a similar experience?
I've played a few really good MIMs and a few really bad ones as well (and a couple that were only suitable as firewood) - the quality was all over the place. That era wasn't known as necessarily bad but there are lemons everywhere.
My current “If I could only have one bass” is a MIM Special Edition Deluxe PJ from 2015 - it plays easy and sounds through the amp like it does in my head.
I just picked up one of the Squier Sonic P-Basses as a mod platform and I have to say it's REALLY nice. Their quality has really gone up!
