What about the anarchist punk bands??? Listen to the Omega tribe bass lines on the no love lost album, especially Profit. The Mob have some good bass lines and even some of the Crass bass line are pretty decent!!

I would try Conflict, they are proper Punks, and got some great basslines, sometimes reggaeinfluenced. Try a simple but good one : The serenade is dead.
