Fake bass cabs?
Since guitarists use fake walls of Marshall stacks do bassists use fake cabs?
I've never heard that one, you see walls of Marshalls at huge stadium venues because the band has to be heard over the noise of 100,000 screaming fans, so to use ‘Fakes’ would defeat the object, one example is The Beatles at Shea Stadium in 1965, the amps were so low powered that at one point, Paul and George were playing one song and John was singing and playing another! Not just Marshalls of course, but Jim Marshall was the first to build super loud amps to cater for The Who's sound so Marshalls have become synonymous with raw power
Kiss used/s them, Slayee uses them, a lot of new bands use them too. It's just a classic metal look. And they're fake because all you have to do now is hook stuff up to PA systems
