Loudlon's Tab Corner!
Thanks for Shine, Lon. Collective Soul is one of my favorite bands from the 90s.
I have to ask though why you tabbed it using half step down tuning? There isn't a note in the song that can't be played on bass in standard tuning. Cheers
Because since most Collective Soul songs are in Eb tuning I assumed this one was, too, and had already tuned my bass down accordingly. It wasn't until after I'd tabbed out the whole song that I realized tuning down was unnecessary, but I was too lazy to change my template to standard and rewrite all the notes down a fret LOL
I thought I remembered other Collective Soul songs being in a dropped tuning, or maybe it was that Will Turpin played a five string? I couldn't remember for sure which it was. I figured that was probably the deal - if I know a band plays in a non-standard tuning generally, I'll start there as well. Great tab, thanks again!
They have a few in standard but yeah, for the most part they tune down. And you're welcome.
New submission: Bass/Guitar Doodle (from Cunning Stunts), by Metallica
New sub: Big Empty, by Stone Temple Pilots.
Can't guarantee this one's 100%. The bass is mixed so low at some points that it's almost indeterminable. Wish there was a bass-only track out there somewhere.
New submission: Didn't I (Blow Your Mind This Time), by The Delfonics
New: Stone, by Alice in Chains (requested by 5 string guy).
Also, Geek Stink Breath, by Green Day.

Lon! Stop tabbing and get a life man!!!
I am most impressed with your recent output of tabs, you are on fire!
Keep up the good work bass master.
Thanks! I try. As for getting a life, if I could find something better to do in this god-awful hillbilly hell, I would LOL
