Ok guys let's hear it, what are some of your favorite movie soundtracks?

I'm a real sucker for Tarantino's soundtracks, I think he has a cool taste of music. Had it not been for his popularization of Misirlou, I doubt I'd ever have played in a surf rock band.

Charlie dont surf
Apocalypse now with the choppers flying in playing Wagner's flight of the valkyries doesn't get much better than that
Also some great Stones,Doors and Hendrix tunes
Might of been a CCR song as we'll but not sure which one
Second vote would be the duelling banjos in deliverance
Squeal like a piggy

Johnny - do we have a really good tab of Miserlou here at BBT? I'd like to learn this song, particularly Steve Soto's bass line in the version by Agent Orange.

Tarantino is a soundtrack genius, plain and simple. I dig the Farrelly Brothers soundtracks, too. Some other faves:

Purple Rain
Singles
Empire Records
The Devil's Rejects
The Crow
O Brother Where Art Thou
Rock ‘n Roll High School
Boogie Nights

Those are the only ones coming to me at the moment. Oh, and I’m also a fan of the scores by the Italian prog-rock band Goblin, who have scored a bunch of Dario Argento's movies. If you haven't heard them, check out their scores for Tenebre, Suspiria, Deep Red and Phenomena.
