PERFORMANCE NOTES: The lyrics of the song say: I’m losing you...: and certain bass
slides in the song have a sighing sound to express the grief in the lyrics. If the
slide has the word (force) written above it, then the slide needs to be strummed
harder than usual, or with greater force to create the correct whining sound. To get
the desired result in this transcription, you will need to have the action of your
strings set so you get slight fret—buzz in the high frets when strumming notes hard.
The string will rattle on the frets producing an almost distorted—like tone. Strum
every note, except those in square brackets, i.e., |10|. So (20) \ 8 means strum the
string at the twentieth fret and slide down to the eighth fret, strumming the string
when you get to the eighth fret. With a number in square brackets, 8 / |10| means you
strum the string at the eighth fret and slide up to the tenth fret without strumming
the string at the tenth fret.

The “1 /” slide will always end on the eighth fret of the same string with a
strum on the eighth fret when the slide reaches it. In total, the above two bar riff
