I'm a Sheffield man based in Salford, Greater Manchester, UK. I have been playing the guitar for 33 years and the double bass for about 8 years. I like most kinds of music, particularly rock, jazz and some pop music. I am going to post some different styles and this site certainly needs more jazz transcriptions, so I'm working on that.
I work out bass lines by ear on an acoustic bass using a Tascam Bass Trainer, write out the tab and then play them on double bass.
My tip: Don't give up - some basslines are easier than they sound!
