What's the very first song you go to when you pick up your bass or guitar to warmup?

Forgot about them as well. Their later crossover stuff is challenging but their straight on punk isn't. I can say I saw Tim Williams or whoever before he died

I normally go for the chorus of Are You Gonna Be My Girl by Jet or Longview by GreenDay

I've never been more serious about anything in my entire life.

I usually play “Solar Groove” by John Myung. Then I do some scales and arpeggios, normally a play through the modes of d major in all positions utilising all six strings of my bass. Then a pentatonic barring excercise, again covering all positions across all strings. Then I'll jump into something like “Sacrificed Sons” or “Afterlife” by Dream Theater. This is a pretty good warm-up for hard practice, and it's fun too.
Those of you looking for a good punk song/band, check out Anti-Flag. Specifically “Project for a new American Century”, Bring Down Their Walls Again“, or ”One People, One Struggle". Great for both bass and guitar.
