Duran Duran Bass Tabs
The intro was cool Sid! But my next verse was not as good
There are two parts to the verse. There are four counts to each measure.
For part 1 (starts about 0
3) the root notes each get 2 measures (8 counts). I think the root notes are:
F#(E2) B(A2) D(A5) B(A2)
F#(D4) B(A2) D(A5) B(A2)
There is more played than just the root note during each two measure segment, but I don't know what.
For part 2 (starts at about 1:11) the root notes are:
A(A0) C#(A4) F#(E2) B(A2)
A(A0) C#(A4) F#(D4)
Each root note gets 1 measure except the last F# which carries for two measures. As in part 1, there is more played than just the root notes. The very last measure turns around back to the intro/chorus.
Hopefully this helps those of you working on the verse section.
Cheers.
I'll work on these notes. Thanks again Sid
And thank you Hugorj! And Mari7!
Gerr, Mari7, Duran Duran Fan, you should also consider trying to tab out the verse!
Cheers.
Gerr and Mari7 try to do “Before the Rain”
Here's a link to a tab for the guitar chords in Before the Rain:
http://www.megachords.com/guitar/music/205296/before-the-rain.htmThe bass line will probably reflect very closely these guitar chords. Where the tab shows that the guitar would play a B minor chord, the bass probably plays a B, and so on. You get to figure out which B (E7, A2,D9) on the neck of your bass is the right one to play.
It looks like the song is in B minor. If so, then most of the notes the bass plays will likely come from the B minor scale (B C# D E F# G A B ).
Mari7,
I've worked on Too Late Marlene. See what you think of it so far…

I'm nearly certain that I don't have the last two measures of the chorus as John plays them, but I can't tell what he does so I've tried to find something that sounds similar. Same goes for the last measure of the verse, though I may have that one as John plays it.
Checks of the tab by any and all are welcome. Cheers.
