Duran Duran Bass Tabs

Hi Hugorj,
The root notes are not a problem (see below). It is everything that happens between each root note being played that is difficult. Also I am trying to tab from UTube sound, so not as good as having the CD to listen to. Also, John is playing in a slap style, which I cannot do worth shit.

From one of my earlier postings in this thread:

There are four counts (1&2&&4& to each measure (4/4 time signature).

There are two parts to the verse.
For part 1 (starts about 03) the root notes each get 2 measures (8 counts). I think the root notes are:
F#(E2) B(A2) D(A5) B(A2)
F#(D4) B(A2) D(A5) B(A2)

There is more played than just the root note during each two measure segment, but I don't know what.

For part 2 (starts at about 1:11) the root notes are:
A(A0) C#(A4) F#(E2) B(A2)
A(A0) C#(A4) F#(D4)
Each root note gets 1 measure (4 counts) except the last F# which carries for two measures (8 counts). As in part 1, there is more played than just the root notes. The very last measure turns around back to the intro/chorus.

This is a tab of the guitar chords, which are same as the root notes for bass. You can see on the tab the lyric and the root note.
Cheers.

No hurry, Hugorj. Keep it fun. Go as fast or as slow as you wish. The important part is to enjoy what you are doing.
Cheers.
