“The Edge” seems perfect. But it is better to wait for Sid, he who commands

Please, no more comments along the lines of arise sir sid and sid he who commands. I'm no better than any of you, probably worse.

I'll check your Edge stuff Hugorj, but Mari7 says it's good. So I'd bet you've got it correct. Good work!

My bass only has 4 strings ..

Hey Gerr,
You can use drop d tuning (D A D G instead of E A D G) - dropping down to the low D (tune your e string down 1 full tone to D) or, as the bass cover guy did, just use a d an octave higher than what Duran Duran's keyboardist plays. So instead of a low D on the open D string, play a d at A5. It's an octave above what is on the recording, but it sounds fine.

The little tab I posted earlier of the short fill in The Man Who Stole A Leopard is wrong. Don't bother wasting any time with it.

It is wrong because Mr. Taylor plays a four string in the song, as you can see in the videos; he does not play five string in this song.

Hey Sid. I was playing “the man ..” until find the perfect melodic (4 string bass). It was not working.
True, John plays the bass 4 strings (his old Aria). My bass have 4 strings too

Hey all,
Here's what I have for The Edge; I am quite confident that this is correct.

0:49-1:18
F-A-F7-D (frets E1-E5-A8-A5)
F-A-E-G-D (E1-E5-A7-E3-A5)
F7-A7 (A8-D7)

1:21-2:09
D-A-D-A (A5-A0-A5-A0) quick little Bb-C (A1-A3) coming back up to D from first A
F-G (E1-E3)
D-G-A (A5-E3-E5)
This is played twice.

2:09-27
repeat the 0:40-1:18 bit (chorus?)

Please check this. Cheers.
