Best 5 string bass for 2-300?
I play A LOT of Korn as they're one of my favorite bands. But I get sick of tuning my 4 string bass down to A. I am looking at Ibanezes. Any other suggestions? Fieldy from Korn is one of my biggest influences and he plays Ibanez, great tone. I am looking for a bass between 200 and 300
I got an Ibanez 5 string for $250 at Guitar Center. 22 frets and very comfortable action.
Yeah for that money I'd say Ibanez, they have such a large range of basses, also check out what Yamaha have to offer, their quality is spot on and Billy Sheehan uses them
Have a look at the Yamaha RBX 375, 5 string, 24 frets, two Humbuckers, they are £270 over here so they will be close to $400 over there but it's worth spend a few dollars more for the quality

WHOS BILLY SHEEHAN!!!!! Are you kidding? Check out Steve Vai vs Billy Sheehan on YouTube, and don't say who's Steve Vai!
I mainly don't pay attention to bassists unless it's a band I love. I usually only know singers and guitarists.
Mr. Big? And no I didn't know who Steve Vai was either

You need to widen your horizon if you want to expand your bass knowledge and playing skills and there are certain bassists you NEED to study including the aforementioned Mr Sheehan, Geddy Lee, James Jamerson, Louis Johnson, Flea and I may say so, Interpol's Carlos Dengler
Well nobody was born with all the knowledge in the world, but I also agree that we as musicians should strive to widen our horizons.
