Loudlon's Tab Corner!
That's crazy, a movie just like your dad's coming out after showing the script. Do you guys have anything like the Writer's Guild over there across the pond? If so, and if your dad had his script registered and copyrighted, and if the other movie really is that similar, it could be actionable.
Interesting story idea, by the way. You mention Belfast, is it safe to assume the IRA plays a part in your script? Sounds like it could be a nicely gritty, violent thriller. Keep at it.
More the UVF as it's based around the Shankill Road. Colin Farrell keeps ringing me to see if it's finished but I've already sort of promised it to Tom Hardy
Just as well. Farrell's all eyebrows. I see him in a movie and all I can think about is two caterpillars butting heads.
Lol, yeah, and apparently those things need an enterage of vets and groomers while he's on location, could blow the budget. Would probably need an American actor in the lead though, ruling Tom and Colin out, any ideas?
How about Jeffrey Donovan? He starred in the show Burn Notice as a spy trying to take down the government agency which burned him. He pulled off a number of accents convincingly in that show, including an Irish one. Dude's a good actor, and he has real life martial arts experience (two black belts) so he can handle action no problem.
Or maybe Danny Devito. You know, cast against type.
Spike Lee and The Cohen Brothers are calling me now, this things getting out of hand….OH SHIT!!!…Spielbergs at the door!!!
Tell him you have proof Tobe Hooper didn't direct Poltergeist, see what he says…
Sounds like you need a bigger boat, hmm errr house, there Marko!
He wouldn't be drawn on the Tobe Hooper thing, anyway, I'm having Antoine Fuqua for Director, that's the Fuqua I want, and Brian Petsos in the lead. I want Petsos to use the same facial expression he used throughout ‘Revenge For Jolly’ and I want the claustrophobic tension that Fuqua achieved in ‘Training Day’. Can't think of any other Fuqua for the job
What about his mom, Mother Fuqua?
