Good call on carol kaye. I didnt know who she was till i started playing bass. When u find all the stuff shes done its like a shocker.

That's because John Paul Jones really wasn't that great of a bassist, in my opinion. Sure I love his playing but all he really did was follow the guitar.

Jack Bruce is one of the best bass players of all times, has influenced me alot. I think that he should get more respect. And also John Paul Jones and Led Zep are a crap band and very overrated in my opinion.

IMO, Klaus Flouride (Dead Kennedys) qualifies as an underrated bassist in the same way as Krist Novoselic. He had a major part on the DK sound, especeally on their slower stuff.

I don't think they're overrated at all. They made very quality music. I don't give a shit who hates them, that doesn't mean I have to hate them.
