Underrated Bassists
1. There music is shit
2. They had a drummer who couldn't swing a sack of shit, he thought that ‘'swing’' was something you just found in a playground.
3. There singer sounds like he had his balls caught in a zipper.
4. They hijack a concert that was supposed to be a Cream reunion.
5. They are compared with better bands like The Who the Beatles and not to mentioned Cream.
6. Cream and Jimi Hendrix made the audience, and did all the hard work and they just come in and act like f*cking kings when they just did one crappy gig.
7. They are to blame for the birth of heavy metal.
8. You could barely here John Paul Jones on the records and he sucked live.
Those are eight things I brought up.
I grew up to Zeppelin. You're entitled to your opinion, but I think you're in a very small minority that considers them shit.
It's almost as if you're resentful they even exist.
You can't here Newsted on And Justice For All but that doesn't make someone horrible just because you can't hear them. And actually all of your reasons were opinions. By the way, what's heavy metal ever done to you?
It's music. Not everyone is gonna like everything. And the more something is popular, the more passionate the dislike of some.
That's the problem with One Direction fans, they just won't acknowledge the music of the past
JPJ is a great bassist, he also played all the other stuff on the albums, keyboards, recorder etc., when Page was doing his stuff, Jones stayed in the background like a good bassist should. And anyone who says Bonham was crap doesn't know the first thing about music never mind drumming. Don't forget Zep were there when Rock was in its infancy, it evolved from the mid 60s British Blues Explosion, Zep were heavily influenced by The Small Faces whose album stuff was drenched in the Blues. Whole Lotta Love was a cover of The Small Faces, You Need Lovin which was itself a cover of Willie Dixons You Need Love which he wrote for Muddy Waters. You are right about one thing, Jack Bruce is one amazing bassist, being classically trained from the age of five probably helped

Noel Redding comes to mind right now, only because I was listening to All Along the Watchtower driving in to work this morning. The bassline for that song is amazing. Much like a lot of his basslines with the Jimi Hendrix Experience.Another that I think is completely underated is Billy Gould from Faith No More. And Tony Franklin.
Jimi played bass on All Along The Watchtower, sorry to burst your bubble

At least admit they are overrated. And even Pete Townshend hates them.
Pete Townshend downloaded child porn so does not deserve a mention on here
Bubble burst.
Whoever played it did a fantastic job.
