Duran Duran Bass Tabs
You're right. I'm wrong, but I'm sure I saw John using pedal on (I forgot) song
Yes, I also have a memory of JT using a pedal in one of the DD songs I have tabbed. I'll have to go back through the tabs to find it, but if I remember correctly, he was using a flanger.
Flangers were pretty popular for awhile back in the 80s. Lots of bands, and both bassists and guitarists, used them. I've read that Steve Severin from Siouxsie and the Banshees always used one, but I'm not certain that is correct. I should tab out some Siouxsie!
And I still in doubt about my new bass: cort b4 or gb74
Hugorj,
what is the bass you already have?

I sent a private message to you, Sid, check.
Hi. My holidays were in Miraluka (search about it).
Sid, I said that I would make the tab of The Valley and Nice (done).
About The Valley. Mari7, you said that you do not use pedal, but I think this music requires pedal effects. What do you think?
Welcome back Darth Nihilus! I hope your holidays were filling.
Thank you from all of the DD tread for the tabs of Nice and The Valley.
We have more projects: Michael You've Got A Lot To Answer For and Other People's Lives. Would like to tab any of these songs?
Mari7, I went back through the DD songs I have tabbed. Mostly JT does not use a pedal to my hearing, but sometimes I think he has used a bass synth pedal, sometimes a delay pedal, and maybe once a flanger.
But mostly just clean bass with no coloring from a pedal.
Probably synth pedal… because of duranie style.
And Nihilus, the bass is used only in isolated parts of The Valley. The rest is done by synthesizer keyboard. See songbook version.
